Việt Nam ghi nhận thặng dư thương mại 2,4 tỷ đô la với Philippines

HÀ NỘI - Trong 8 tháng đầu năm 2024, kim ngạch thương mại giữa Việt Nam và Philippines đạt tổng giá trị 5,7 tỷ USD, tăng 21% so với cùng kỳ năm 2023. Trong giai đoạn này, Việt Nam đạt thặng dư thương mại 2,41 tỷ USD với Philippines.
Theo số liệu của Tổng cục Hải quan, kim ngạch xuất khẩu của Việt Nam sang Philippines đạt 4,07 tỷ USD, tăng 17% so với cùng kỳ năm trước (YoY). Gạo vẫn là mặt hàng xuất khẩu lớn nhất, với giá trị đạt 1,71 tỷ USD, tăng 39,7% so với năm trước. Đây cũng là mặt hàng xuất khẩu duy nhất sang Philippines vượt 1 tỷ USD.
Ngoài gạo, Việt Nam còn xuất khẩu sang Philippines 6 mặt hàng khác với kim ngạch trên 100 triệu đô la Mỹ, bao gồm máy móc, thiết bị, phụ tùng (255 triệu đô la Mỹ, tăng 3,6%), clinker và xi măng (214 triệu đô la Mỹ, giảm 12,9%) và cà phê (196 triệu đô la Mỹ, tăng đáng kể 126%). Ngoài ra, xuất khẩu điện thoại và linh kiện đạt 172 triệu đô la Mỹ, tăng 48%, trong khi máy tính và sản phẩm điện tử đạt 119 triệu đô la Mỹ, giảm nhẹ 1,4%.
Trong lĩnh vực nông sản và thủy sản, các mặt hàng xuất khẩu chủ lực gồm sắn và sản phẩm từ sắn (6,1 triệu USD, giảm 6%), hạt tiêu (22,8 triệu USD, tăng 39%), hạt điều (11,4 triệu USD, tăng 5,5%) và thủy sản (57,9 triệu USD, giảm 23,9%).
Trong số 33 mặt hàng xuất khẩu chính sang Philippines, 13 mặt hàng có giá trị giảm, trong khi 20 mặt hàng ghi nhận tăng trưởng. Than có tốc độ tăng trưởng cao nhất, với giá trị xuất khẩu tăng từ 0,09 triệu đô la Mỹ lên 15,1 triệu đô la Mỹ và khối lượng xuất khẩu tăng vọt từ 219 tấn lên 69.720 tấn.
Ngược lại, Việt Nam nhập khẩu 1,66 tỷ đô la hàng hóa từ Philippines, tăng 4% so với cùng kỳ năm ngoái. Ba mặt hàng nhập khẩu chính bao gồm máy vi tính và linh kiện (1,03 tỷ đô la, tăng 8,3%), máy móc thiết bị và phụ tùng (176 triệu đô la, giảm 3,7%) và kim loại thường (109 triệu đô la, tăng 3,6%).

According to data from the General Department of Customs, Việt Nam's exports to the Philippines in the first eight months of 2024 amounted to US$4.07 billion, up 17 per cent year-on-year.

HÀ NỘI — In the first eight months of 2024, trade between Việt Nam and the Philippines reached a total value of US$5.7 billion, marking a 21 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2023. During this period, Việt Nam posted a trade surplus of US$2.41 billion with the Philippines.
According to data from the General Department of Customs, Việt Nam's exports to the Philippines amounted to US$4.07 billion, up 17 per cent year-on-year (YoY). Rice remained the top export commodity, with a value of US$1.71 billion, reflecting a 39.7 per cent increase from the previous year. It was also the only export to the Philippines exceeding US$1 billion.
In addition to rice, Việt Nam exported six other products to the Philippines with a turnover of over US$100 million. These included machinery, equipment, and spare parts (US$255 million, up 3.6 per cent), clinker and cement (US$214 million, down 12.9 per cent), and coffee (US$196 million, a significant increase of 126 per cent). Furthermore, exports of phones and components reached US$172 million, up 48 per cent, while computers and electronic products totalled US$119 million, a slight decrease of 1.4 per cent.
In the agricultural and seafood sector, key exports included cassava and cassava products (US$6.1 million, down 6 per cent), pepper (US$22.8 million, up 39 per cent), cashew nuts (US$11.4 million, up 5.5 per cent), and seafood (US$57.9 million, down 23.9 per cent).
Among the 33 main products exported to the Philippines, 13 saw a decline in value, while 20 recorded growth. Coal experienced the highest growth rate, with export value rising from US$0.09 million to US$15.1 million, and the export volume surging from 219 tonnes to 69,720 tonnes.
On the other hand, Việt Nam imported US$1.66 billion worth of goods from the Philippines, an increase of 4 per cent compared to the same period last year. The three main import items included computers and components (US$1.03 billion, up 8.3 per cent), machinery and spare parts (US$176 million, down 3.7 per cent), and common metals (US$109 million, up 3.6 per cent).
Among the imported items, metal products and auto parts recorded the highest growth rates, with increases of 157 per cent and 98 per cent, respectively, compared to the same period last year. — VNS
