Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam Cycle Expo – a major international event in Vietnam for bicycles, electric bikes, electric motorcycles, motorcycles and accessories will return in September in Ho Chi Minh City.
The event, co-organised by the VINEXAD company under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) and the Vietnam Automobile, Motorcycle and Bicycle Association (VAMOBA), is expected to attract 180 exhibitors from 12 countries and territories across the worlds.
With up to 300 display booths in an area of 2,500 sq.m, the exhibitors will introduce latest products and services relating to bikes, electric bikes, electric vehicles, components and accessories. Besides world famous brandings, the expo also welcomes newly established start-ups.
Visitors to the expo can take part in interactive activities, an adventure cycle show and a bike fashion show.
The expo will take place at the same time and venue with other major exhibitions including the Vietnam Sport Show 2024 and Zhejiang Expo Fair. The series of events featuring more than 500 display booths are expected to attract over 20,000 visitors.
A report by Mordor Intelligence shows that the world bicycle market is estimated to reach 56.16 billion USD in 2024 and 69 billion USD in 2029.
In Vietnam, the trend of using bicycles for exercise and transportation has been increasing sharply in recently.
Data from Statista - a German market research company, shows that revenue from the bicycle segment in Vietnam was estimated at 295.8 million USD in 2023, and is expected to reach 371.8 million USD with 2.49 million bicycles sold in 2027.
Meanwhile, according to the MoIT, electric motorbike sales in Vietnam have increased by about 30-35%, making Vietnam the largest electric motorbike market in Southeast Asia and the second largest in the world, just behind China.
Environmental issues and fluctuations in petrol prices are also factors that affect consumer demand for electric vehicles, which are expected to increase sharply in the near future./.

Hà Nội (VNA) – Triển lãm Xe đạp Việt Nam – sự kiện quốc tế lớn tại Việt Nam về xe đạp, xe đạp điện, xe máy điện, xe máy và phụ tùng sẽ trở lại vào tháng 9 tại Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh.
Sự kiện do Công ty VINEXAD (Bộ Công Thương) và Hiệp hội Ôtô, Xe máy, Xe đạp Việt Nam (VAMOBA) đồng tổ chức, dự kiến sẽ thu hút 180 đơn vị tham gia triển lãm đến từ 12 quốc gia và vùng lãnh thổ trên thế giới.
Với quy mô lên tới 300 gian hàng trưng bày trên diện tích 2.500 m2, các nhà triển lãm sẽ giới thiệu các sản phẩm, dịch vụ mới nhất liên quan đến xe đạp, xe đạp điện, xe điện, linh kiện và phụ kiện. Bên cạnh các thương hiệu nổi tiếng thế giới, hội chợ còn chào đón các doanh nghiệp khởi nghiệp mới thành lập.
Du khách đến triển lãm có thể tham gia các hoạt động tương tác, trình diễn xe đạp mạo hiểm và trình diễn thời trang xe đạp.
Hội chợ sẽ diễn ra cùng thời gian và địa điểm với các triển lãm lớn khác bao gồm Triển lãm Thể thao Việt Nam 2024 và Hội chợ triển lãm Chiết Giang. Chuỗi sự kiện với hơn 500 gian hàng trưng bày dự kiến sẽ thu hút hơn 20.000 lượt khách tham quan.
Báo cáo của Mordor Intelligence cho thấy thị trường xe đạp thế giới ước tính đạt 56,16 tỷ USD vào năm 2024 và 69 tỷ USD vào năm 2029.
Tại Việt Nam, xu hướng sử dụng xe đạp để tập thể dục và di chuyển đang gia tăng mạnh mẽ trong thời gian gần đây.
Số liệu từ Statista - công ty nghiên cứu thị trường của Đức cho thấy doanh thu từ mảng xe đạp tại Việt Nam ước đạt 295,8 triệu USD vào năm 2023 và dự kiến đạt 371,8 triệu USD với 2,49 triệu xe đạp bán ra vào năm 2027.
Trong khi đó, theo Bộ Công Thương, doanh số bán xe máy điện tại Việt Nam đã tăng khoảng 30-35%, đưa Việt Nam trở thành thị trường xe máy điện lớn nhất Đông Nam Á và lớn thứ hai thế giới, chỉ sau Trung Quốc.
Vấn đề môi trường và biến động giá xăng dầu cũng là những yếu tố ảnh hưởng tới nhu cầu tiêu dùng xe điện, dự đoán sẽ tăng mạnh trong thời gian tới./.
